This was my first internship period. I was in charge of creating an online presence for the company. I built a responsive website for a start up game company. I focused on brand image, clean design and usability.
Designing the whole online presence including website
Follow brand kit and colour scheme
Create content and post on social medias
I studied a lot of game company websites and I found some very cool ones but most of them were pretty simple. I wanted to make a simple but fitting website for the company. I wanted to use colours and make it playful, because it's a game company, but still keep it professional and clean. I made the website using Wordpress. I tried out few themes but decide to choose one of the basic themes. It was challenging but fun to use the brand kit colours and fonts around and add new elements.

The front page included all the important bits. Big banner, introduction of the games, player reviews, news and had links for more information and contact page.
The game page introduced the games more closely. With screenshots of the game and video guides.
About us page was more personal insight of the company, how it became and taught more about the creators of the games.
Contact us page was important to me. Keeping the same theme here playing with the brand colours a bit.
I got to plan out the social media calendar and strategies. My goal was to post on every social media channel once a week. I planned to network on each of them once a week and have one engagement per week. The plan worked well but growing the channels would have needed more content and time to make content. I also feel like growing the accounts would have needed more personal touch. If I had more time I would have suggested making a mascot for the company and make it more reachable that way. I had some ideas for this already. I think people follow people on medias so developer updates and videos like that would have suited the company well. It was super interesting to make "how to play" -tutorials and videos. I created some templates ready for the company to use in future if they want to keep the same style in future posts. I created most of the content using Canva and I loved the program. I had used it before but I got to learn new aspects of it. I also learned that their video editor is not the sharpest.
It was fun to follow trends and try to come up with fun content too. This one got most views on TikTok.
I made colourful, playful content following brand kit. It was challenging but fun and most of it turned out well.
X was completely new social media for me. I still have things to learn here. I loved making this visual.
I used some ready materials and tried to make them playful and fitting for the brand.
YouTube shorts, Instagram reels and TikTok videos were super fun to make.
Little updates along the way made good content.
All in all, I was very happy how the website turned out and social medias I could have improved for a loooot longer! I got good feedback from the company and hopefully we'll work together again soon.
